Work Environment
This position offers a remote working setting, allowing you to maintain a balance between personal and professional responsibilities. Our hospice center provides a climate-controlled environment where team collaboration is encouraged, ensuring seamless integration with fellow healthcare providers and support staff. Daily tasks may involve virtual meetings, collaborative treatment planning, and recording patient interactions through established electronic health record systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, employing evidence-based diagnostic tools, including the DSM-5, to craft individualized treatment plans.
- Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy techniques and interventions as necessary to enhance mental health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards, utilizing advanced technology to ensure efficient documentation.
- Collaborate closely with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop holistic treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique needs.
- Coordinate care by establishing connections with other health providers and resources, ensuring a cohesive approach to treatment.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to interns and students, sharing your expertise to enhance their clinical skills and understanding.
- Engage in clinical supervision activities including peer reviews and chart audits to promote team development and adherence to best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role is primarily focused on supporting individuals and families dealing with the emotional and psychological challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. You will employ therapeutic modalities that foster resilience, coping mechanisms, and emotional healing, facilitating the navigation through complex care pathways.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the State of Washington.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working within oncology or palliative care settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and efficiency in maintaining digital documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and a generous sign-on bonus.
