Work Environment
As a remote position, the role offers flexibility while immersing you in a collaborative climate. You will operate from a climate-controlled home office setting, requiring movement to various virtual meetings and interactions with interdisciplinary team members, healthcare providers, and administrative personnel. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations of clients' mental health status using tools compliant with clinical standards such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Create individualized care plans that are sensitive to cultural diversity and the unique needs of each patient.
Monitor patient progress continually, providing necessary interventions and adjusting strategies as needed to support mental health diagnoses and therapeutic objectives.
Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of treatment records, reports, and clinical information using the latest technology, complying with both regulatory requirements and departmental protocols.
Collaborate actively with patients, families, and allied health professionals to develop and adapt comprehensive treatment plans that align with the patient's identified goals and desired outcomes.
Facilitate patient safety and symptom management through proactive communication and care interventions, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals.
Engage in the coordination of referrals and serve as a bridge between patients and other treatment providers, developing strong working relationships with community resources and referral agencies.
Mentor and educate students, interns, and volunteers in best practices for mental health service delivery, contributing to a culture of learning and development within our organization.
Participate in peer review, clinical collaboration, and quality assurance initiatives as directed by clinical supervisors to foster professional growth and improve team effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This position primarily focuses on individuals and families grappling with the emotional and psychological challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. You will utilize your social work expertise to address the complex needs of these clients, facilitating coping strategies and supporting them through their mental health journeys.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the State of Washington.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with oncology patients or in similar healthcare settings is highly desirable.
Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities for mental health treatment, specifically tailored to cancer care and support.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
