Community Uplifters LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team in a full-time remote setting. The ideal candidate will provide essential outpatient therapy to individuals and families affected by cancer diagnoses. Work Environment
This full-time position is designed to be fully remote, providing flexibility for the professional while maintaining a structured environment. Employees will engage primarily through digital platforms to connect with clients, conduct assessments, and deliver therapeutic services. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status using best practice tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), to tailor individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress consistently, providing therapeutic interventions and strategies to address symptoms and facilitate achieving mental health goals.
- Document all treatment records, reports, and clinical data expediently and accurately using contemporary technology, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements and departmental protocols.
- Coordinate with patients and their families to develop holistic treatment strategies that respect cultural diversity and specific needs, ensuring a personalized approach to care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to create comprehensive care plans while maintaining effective working relationships with external agencies and professionals for referrals and additional support services.
- Engage in the training and mentoring of interns, residents, and volunteers, fostering a learning environment that supports future generations of social workers.
- Under the supervision of clinical leadership, participate in peer reviews, clinical audits, and team development initiatives aimed at enhancing the service quality provided by our department.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus of this role is individuals and families navigating the emotional and psychological challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. As a licensed social worker, you will employ evidence-based practices to drive positive outcomes, providing crucial support that helps clients confront their challenges with resilience and hope. Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory.
- Possession of a current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is required.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, candidates with experience in oncology social work, counseling within a detox or therapeutic environment, and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities will be favored. Previous involvement with multidisciplinary teams is also highly beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers an annual salary between $90,000 and $105,000, reflective of skills and experience.
