Description
Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Hematology/Oncology trained physician to join their Cancer Care Program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This full-time role involves diagnosing and treating cancer and blood disorders in adults, utilizing various therapies and collaborating with a supportive care team. Practice Info 60% Oncology / 40% Hematology 80% office, 10% inpatient, 10% admin Member of the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance for clinical trials Systemwide Epic (EMR) system Responsibilities Diagnose and treat cancer in adults using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapy, and targeted therapy Diagnose and treat blood disorders Order and oversee diagnostic testing in alignment with NCCN guidelines Prescribe treatment and supportive medications Collaborate with the care team to include palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing, research to ensure optimal patient outcomes Oversee care provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians, as required by provider licensure Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care across the continuum Participation in tumor board(s) is required Compensation Nationally competitive salary with relocation allowance available CME allowance Fully paid malpractice insurance Exceptional retirement plans - 403b retirement savings program with both matching programs and employer contributions Benefits Robust wellness program, including free access to our on-site and community-based gyms, nutrition coaching and classes, wellness challenges and more Robust, day one effective benefits plan consisting of medical, dental, vision and more The RESET program is a multi-day immersive retreat designed for clinicians, fostering personal and professional growth Shift & Schedule Full time FTE: 1.00 Clinic hours M - F 8 -5 Wednesday and Thursday Tumor Board Call frequency: 7 weeks per year Requirements M.D. or D.O. with fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology BC/BE Medical Oncology and Hematology NM Medical License Demonstration of CARES behaviors and the practice of collaborative care 3-5 years minimum experience preferred
