- Setting: Outpatient Oncology Infusion Center (chemotherapy infusion nurse role)/n
- Start Date: June 1, 2026/n
- End Date: August 31, 2026/n
- Duration: 13 weeks/n
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)/n
- Hours per Week: 40/n
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend/n
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,010 – $2,120/n
/n/nJob Requirements / Qualifications/n
/n
- Active DC RN license in hand at time of application (required for Washington, DC assignments)/n
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in oncology infusion or outpatient oncology (Infusion RN / Oncology RN)/n
- At least 1 prior travel assignment preferred (travel nurse experience)/n
- ONS / ONCC Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification (required)/n
- BLS (AHA) certification required/n
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)/n
- Experience with IV therapies, port/central line/PICC access, and phlebotomy/n
- Community hospital or outpatient infusion center experience required; BMT and inpatient oncology experience preferred/n
- Previous charge or leadership experience preferred/n
/n/nKey Responsibilities/n
/n
- Coordinate and deliver safe, effective infusion therapies (chemotherapy, biotherapy, IV therapy) to oncology patients in an outpatient infusion center/n
- Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy per protocols and manage oncologic emergencies and infusion reactions/n
- Monitor, assess, and manage side effects, symptoms, and complications related to cancer treatment/n
- Access and care for ports, central lines, and PICC lines; perform phlebotomy as needed/n
- Implement neutropenic and isolation precautions and follow safe chemo handling procedures/n
- Provide patient education, symptom management guidance, and emotional support to patients and families/n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary oncology team (physicians, pharmacists, social work) to ensure comprehensive patient care/n
- Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed/n
